Naturally Responsible
Environmental responsibility is our business.  It is not one component, it’s what we do.  We manage materials used by the current generation so that they benefit and do not harm future generations.  We are working with our customers, vendors and the communities we service to ensure the protection and improvement of the environment.

We provide innovative waste solutions that preserve and protect our natural resources.  We put this commitment into practice in our communities every day.  Our history and investment demonstrate this ongoing commitment to the community.

We strive for excellence in everything we do.  From serving large national customers to taking care of waste and the collection of recyclables in neighborhoods across America, our goal is to run a quality, customer-driven business in an environmentally responsible and financially sustainable manner.

Naturally Resourceful
Our state-of–the-art facility in Seattle is the largest material recycling facility west of the Mississippi.  Each month, we process more than 17,000 tons of recyclable materials.  An additional 6,000 tons of construction and demolition debris is processed each month.  These materials are kept out of landfills and put back into production, helping customers do their part and allowing others to meet their LEED certification standards.

Alternative Fueled Vehicles
We will be testing the first domestically produced diesel-electric Class 8 hybrid refuse truck later this year.  Made by Mack, the rear load truck is expected to increase fuel economy and reduce emissions and noise pollution.

We have more than 750 vehicles running on alternative fuels and continuously update our fleet to include cleaner burning, more efficient vehicles.

Last year alone, we processed more than 5.2 million tons of paper, cardboard, metal, glass and plastic for recycling.  That’s more than 34 pounds for every man, woman, and child in the United States.
